as for your question earlier, CG is a short term for Computer Generated Graphic, while all characters are computer generated, the indsutry uses the term for different highly detailed models outside the regular ones.

Naughty Dog uses Drakes in-game model(the one you play with) on cutscenes unlike many games which use other/different models(aka CG model) for their cutscenes(Final Fantasy the biggest example)ND just uses better lightning and effects on the cutscenes but since they use the same character model the whole game, the transition from gameplay to cutscenes is very smooth unlike FF in which you see a awesome looking cinematic but when it goes back to gameplay you feel like playing another character which brings an impact more noticeable and feeling disjointed. a good example of this is FFX, look Tiduz CG model and his in-game model...they look like two diferrent characters, while the industry is doing this stuff much better than past generations, ND is still on a league of their own.

  2. Haha thanks man!
I actually knew what CG stood for. I meant that I couldn't figure out what they were going to be using if it wasn't CG; I didn't realize that in-engine graphics don't count as CG. So thanks for clarifying!
